Chartwells Higher Education and the University of North Alabama Create Scholarship Program to Help Chartwells Associates Advance Educational and Career Opportunities

The Chartwells Partnership Scholarship is open to any eligible Chartwells associate and offers up to 25 percent tuition reimbursement on many University of North Alabama traditional and online classes

Charlotte, NC: Chartwells Higher Education, an innovative leader in campus dining programs across the country, announced today a new scholarship program open to Chartwells and Compass Group associates across the country. In partnership with the University of North Alabama, associates who have completed one year of employment with Compass Group can apply for the scholarship worth 25 percent of the value of tuition of many online and traditional programs, certificates and micro-credentials.

“Chartwells and UNA have enjoyed a long and fruitful partnership that is further solidified with this agreement that provides educational benefits and opportunities to all Chartwells and Compass USA employees,” says Dr. Ross Alexander, Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. “Today's agreement is significant in that it further solidifies UNA as Alabama's Workforce Development University.”

Associates eligible for the scholarship will have the opportunity to grow their careers and expand their educational qualifications at a university ranked among the best Public Regional Universities of the South category, according to the 2021 list released by U.S. News & World Report.

“Providing educational access, training and development opportunities for our associates is an important part of our culture, says Lisa McEuen, CEO, Chartwells Higher Education. “We are grateful for this partnership and the ability to empower our people to thrive in their careers.”

Associates may begin taking advantage of this opportunity as early as the spring 2022 semester. For more information on the Chartwells Partnership Scholarship, please contact Susan Breer at (256) 765-5667 or susan.breer@compass-usa.com.
